no i am not working with sofia coppola. but i just saw the trailer of her new movie and i have something to say ! so i am turning my website into a blog for a short post.
i admire sofia coppola’s work. the trilogy virgin suicides/lost in translation/marie antoinette is great : for the choices that she made, the photography, soundtracks… her work is inspiring.
french people hates her adaptation of marie antoinette, i love it. she doesn’t show us what we want to see, what we expect the most. we have to thank her for that. lost in translation is probably my favourite movie, because it’s about the city, the empty…
so here is the trailer of somewhere, sofia coppola’s new movie. right now i feel like this movie could be the #4 of the serie. characters are stuck in a close place, indoor (home/hotel). stuck in the role they have to play, the meaning of their life. the family relationship. and once again, the photography looks amazing (more virgin suicides/marie antoinette). so do the mattress shots.
